Our introduction to Venezuela began when our oldest daughter accepted a position with an Oil & Gas company to work in their Accounting Department in Caracas in 2003. Her mother and I learned quickly that sending a single child to a foreign country could bring a love affair that would blend our family with a Venezuelan family. Well, needless to say, in early 2005 we were visiting our potential son-in-law, his parents, and seeing a whole new world of wonderful, loving people.

Over the years to follow and learning to love the people of Venezuela more and more, we saw changes to a country that made it become more and more difficult for the people there to provide for the basic needs in life. In the most recent couple of years, we have seen so many suffer and become in desperate need of basic foods and medical supplies. In January of 2017, we began sending food and personal hygiene products on a monthly basis.

Birth of VE Relief

In November of 2018, as the conditions in Venezuela continued to deteriorate and food and medicines became more scarce, I had the vision of expanding what we were doing, inviting others to join us in prayer and financial support. We created a non-profit organization in an attempt to increase our reach and help even more people in Venezuela.

VE Relief, Inc. was born in December of 2018 and by January of 2019, we began sending  medicine and medical supplies that have helped so many people with basic health and wellness needs.  Many family members and friends have jumped on board, and we have been able to send more and more boxes of food and medicine each month.

We pray we can continue to send food and medicine, as the word about VE Relief is spread each month, and we are able to help more and more people.  As the Bible teaches us to provide for those in need, our Mission is based on:

Matthew 25:40 (MSG)

“Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.”

Our mission

Our mission is in no way political, governmental, or driven for any other reason other than to feed the hunger and medical needs of a people in need.

Our mission statement

To provide much needed food and medicine to the people of Venezuela.

We pray our obedience can continue to help the beautiful people of Venezuela.

Blessed to serve,
